End of Summer 09

Sorry for the lateness of the blog… I meant to get this written for January but, well, this year is going way too fast already.

Last time I wrote it was Spring and Bina had had a few changes thanx to Ralph and his crew, Trax Fellowship. We’d also set ourselves up with Oasis to help out some less fortunate kids and things were looking good.

This year things are quieter, although summer has always been that way, and the temperatures soared not just here but right across NSW. Now we’ve settled a little bit and the temperature is just about perfect for getting out on the tracks. The Councils have graded not just Jerrong Road but also Glen Road so your only challenge is still the driveway.

New work has been completed on the Forty Acres, with the entry and exit now switched so be very careful not just to look for the signs but if you have kids, be sure they know it’s different. All jumps on the Forty Acres have been groomed and there’s a new, smaller track for our junior riders, complete with appropriately sized berms and jumps.

For the more adventurous, if you ask Peter, we also now have a freestyle ramp which can be set up; thanx goes to Juan Jewell and his crew for this.

To our surprise, the Trama Tribe is now coming up to its second anniversary at Bina. Time has just rushed past and we’re all still enjoying our unique place and we’d love to see you come and join us for a holiday.

Meet the Family

Brandon (aka BJ)

Brandon may be the smallest of the Trama Tribe but he certainly makes up for everything in attitude and determination. On his RM85, he flies around and can often be seen in the air over the jumps on the Forty Acres or ‘testing’ the jumps once Dad (Peter) has finished grooming them.If he’s not on his bike, he also rides on Peter’s King Quad and it’s a sight to be seen!

When he’s not actually riding, Brandon is often out and about with new mates and can always be counted on to make the younger guests not only feel welcome but also have a great time. Many times he’s disappeared from sunrise until bedtime, spending whole days with guests as he guides the younger ones along the tracks and down on the Forty Acres.

Brandon also has a small zoo onsite and is always looking to increase his pets. So far he has two ferrets (Sly & Wheezer), two cockatiels (Houdini & Cindy), a dog (Ineka), chickens and a rooster (Sanders), and two ducklings (Donald & Daisy). I’ll keep you posted as to whether there are any additions. We’ve also managed to add a few more photos added to the gallery on the website from guests who’ve sent them into us. Make sure you check that out too. http://www.binacrombi.com.au/phototarget/index.htm
